Exercise is certainly not confined to the four walls of a gym. However, I'll be the first to admit that going overseas, whether for travel or holiday, can make me a little nervous that I won't be able to stick to my regular strength training routines. Most of us are creatures of habit so when we travel it can throw things completely out of whack!
If you happen to be staying in a hotel with a gym - perfect, you can still strength train as usual. If they don't have your usual machines, don't fret - grab some free weights to fire up those stabilizing muscles.
If you don't have access to a gym, you can still get a great workout in a small space with no equipment. Try this Tabata-style workout you can do anywhere! Perform each high-intensity workout for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds, working your way through the sets. You can use the in-built timer function on your phone to count down the time, or try the free Seconds app which allows you input the total exercises, exercise time and rest time.
